Aaron has been helping consumers with their mortgage needs since 2014. Aaron's goal is to give every client the absolute best experience. Buying a home and getting a mortgage doesn’t need to be scary or confusing; as a matter of fact, it shouldn’t be. It doesn’t matter if you’re buying your first home or your fifth, he strives to give every client the same outstanding experience and service.

A Mortgage Advisor Who Actually Speaks "Markets"

Here's what sets Aaron apart from most loan officers: he doesn't just quote you today's rate; he understands why it's today's rate.
With nearly two decades of experience as a futures, options, and equities trader and technical analyst, Aaron reads the macro forces that drive mortgage rates the way most people read there morning news feed. He is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) charter holder and the author of "Macro To Mortgage," a newsletter that translates Treasury yields, employment data, Fed policy, market structure, and seasonal patterns into practical insight for borrowers, real estate agents, and lenders.

So… what's a CMT, and why should you care?

The CMT, Chartered Market Technician, is a globally recognized professional credential earned by passing a rigorous, multi-level exam program covering technical market analysis, behavioral finance, statistics, risk management, and ethics. Most CMT charter holders work as research analysts, traders, or portfolio managers at hedge funds, banks, and asset managers. Almost none work as mortgage loan officers.
Why does that matter when you're getting a home loan? Because lenders don't actually set mortgage rates; the bond market does. Mortgage rates move every day in response to 10-year Treasury yields and mortgage-backed securities, which in turn react to inflation reports, jobs data, Fed decisions, global capital flows, seasonality, and changing market structure. Most loan officers can tell you today's rate. Aaron can tell you what's likely pushing it there, what to watch next, and whether it makes sense to lock now or wait, backed by the same kind of analysis institutional traders use, applied to your loan.
That market awareness translates directly into client value: smarter lock-vs.-float decisions, realistic near-term rate expectations, and an early read on future refinance opportunities before they pass.
In 2020, that analytical edge earned him first place in the annual economic forecasting competition hosted by the Denver Association of Business Economists.

Giving Back Through Financial Education

Aaron is passionate about financial literacy and has put real time behind that conviction. He formerly volunteered with Economic Literacy Colorado, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing economic and personal-finance education into K–12 classrooms across the state. In September 2024, ELC merged with Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, where its programs continue, and Aaron Volunteers as part of JA's Stock Market Challenge.

You Might Also Know Him as "Double A"

Long before he was advising on your home loan, he was a Denver radio personality known on the airwaves as "Double A." He's been a fixture on the airwaves since the late 1990s, and you can still catch him:

A Colorado Native, Through and Through

Aaron grew up here and has watched the Denver metro transform first-hand, from the revitalization of LoDo, to the rise of new neighborhoods in Parker, Southeast Aurora, and the areas near old Rocky Flats. When he's not working with clients or watching charts, he's out enjoying everything the state has to offer with his wife, Jenny: hiking, scenic runs, and kayaking, with Grand Lake on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park among his favorite places to land.
